About
Editorial standards
The rules every page on this site follows.
Sources
Every factual claim links to a source. We prefer primary sources: agency datasets, official program pages, and the documents themselves. Each source lists its publisher and, where it matters, the date we checked it.
Review
Nothing publishes on its author's word alone. Research outputs and ENY Real Talk entries need a named reviewer who is not the author, and a review date. Record data publishes only from approved, versioned snapshots.
No invented content
We do not publish AI-generated findings, invented statistics, or events and partnerships that are not confirmed. Sample entries used to test the site are labeled DEMO and are not part of the public record.
Dates and freshness
Every entry shows when it was published, updated, and reviewed. Resources are re-checked at least every 90 days and opportunities every 30 days. Entries past those limits are flagged on the page, not hidden.
Images
Documentary photos show the real people and places named. Any illustration, stock photo, or AI-generated image is labeled as such and is never presented as a picture of East New York residents or events.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Record corrections are published as labeled Record updates, and earlier data snapshots stay available.
Independence
We do not sell products, take referral fees for listings, or endorse investments. Listing a resource or opportunity is not an endorsement.
