Email signups

When you sign up for the Brief or Record updates, we store your normalized email address, signup time, consent version, which form you used, and limited request context: a country code and a request ID. We do not store your IP address in the signup table.

We use this information to send the Brief and Record updates and to maintain the list. We do not sell personal information. A duplicate signup does not create another record. Signing up is not a confirmation that email has been sent; issues are sent separately by our team.

You can unsubscribe from any message. If our data practices or service providers change, this notice is updated before those changes go live.

Search and browsing

Site search runs in your browser against a file downloaded with the page; your search terms are not sent to us. The site does not set advertising cookies.
